cycling style without the bicycle ;)

I am very much normally an "all hail" Alexa kind of gal but last week she tested me to the max' with her foray into the cycling shorts trend.  To be honest I am still not sure how I feel about it but with legs like hers it was no wonder she tried them!

The only way I can think of wearing them though is under skirts - the way we all did back in the early 90's.  The trend is growing on me but I don't think it is something I would wear regularly:

 

What do you think? I did see a lady on Oxford Street working a woollen pair last week and she looked awesome!!

I die.

I don't actually think I could love these more than I already do - after talking about them for the last few months they finally arrived and I already have my pair! 

PS  Anyone else notice the sneaky resemblance to a certain pair of Opening Ceremoney/Chloe Sevigney boots?!

nudes are scary!

It seems like every spring I face the same battle - how on earth do I work a nude colour scheme into my wardrobe?  I find it a very scary prospect as I don't want to look washed out but don't want to keep piling on the fake tan to avoid it!

I saw this photo this morning and I really loved it esp as she teams her nude dress with gorgeous nude shoes. 

Not sure I could work a nude dress, would possibly feel like I was wearing a nightdress!  However, I am keen on incorporating a few nude items into my current wardrobe.  These items have caught my eye:
