Is Rihanna rock 'n' roll?

I actually think she is!  I am not particularly a fan of her music but her style of late has been catching my eye.  There is no doubt she likes glitz and glamour but she seems to be able to put it all together with a bit of a rock 'n' roll edge.  You only have to look at the Rodarte tights outfit to see that!  Having done some research I can see that she wears both high street and designer ensembles...she also has a shoe collection I would sell my granny for.  Not really!  I have included some recent images and some photos of Rihanna-esque shoes.  Good times:

       

  

Some images speak

Some images really do speak to me and this is one of them!  It just squeals fun, I am a devoted polka dot girl.  The bigger, more Minnie Mouse like the better to be honest;).  It instantly reminded me of Carrie from "Sex in the City" wearing probably my favourite outfit of her's throughout the show.  The first image is from the Sartorialist and the second one is of course from "Sex in the City" when Carrie was in Paris.

Pay Day fun...

Eek!  I have been a complete baddie and not updated this for ages...not cool.  Thankfully pay day has come around again and as always this has got me thinking about what I would like to purchase this month.  Is it normal to always want clothes and shoes?!  It seems like I have a never ending list.  I am quite excited about this month though.  I won some amazing Creeper shoes on ebay.  I had been after a pair for so long esp after seeing them used so sucessfully numerous A/W catwalk shows.

  

Denim leggings are also a must have item at the moment.  I really wanted the Vila ones that ASOS do but I think they have sold out in my size plus I don't know what size to get as I don't want them to end up being too big but I don't want them too tight in the first place!  I will be checking out both River Island and Dorothy Perkins tomorrow night...

Last but not least is some Schuh shoes of course!  This month I am going back to my beloved brogues but the ones I want have a bit of a rock 'n' roll edge:

 

I cannot wait to get them and wear them with pretty dresses and denim shorts and baggy t-shirts:)

Celeb Style - Audrey Tautou

I wouldn't say I was someone who looks to celebrities for style advice but there are some that I truly do admire.  Audrey Tautou is without a doubt one of them and the fact that she is playing Coco Chanel in a new film just cements her style status for me.  I love the fact she is a little bit quirky and is flying the flag for short hair....I have short hair and always think there is a shortage of female celebs working the crop!!  The outfits she has been sporting for the Chanel film premieres have blown me away, so so classic:

    

In the first image I love the floral cocktail dress with shrunken leather biker jacket, I am a fan of messing up a pretty outfit!  I just can't do extreme girliness;)  I love the second one because she was able to make an all white, almost "angelic" looking outfit look edgy.  I am looking forward to seeing more amazing outfits as the film is launched around the world.
